Introduction to Google Classroom

Classroom is an incredible new product developed by Google available to anyone with access to Apps for Education, a free suite of Google tools (Drive, Gmail, etc).

In a nutshell, teachers are able to setup classes quickly and add students directly or share an invitation code.  Within minutes your whole class can have access and be ready to go.  You will be able to send announcements and start class discussions immediately.  You’ll also be able to easily share resources and provide answers to questions.

Assignments and grading are simplified as well and teachers are able to create, review, and grade in one place.  The process is easy for students as well.  They are able to see all their assignments on the Assignments page and all the class materials provided by the teacher are automatically filed into folders in their Google Drive.

The best part about this platform is that you can access it wherever there is an Internet connection.  It’s compatible with all the major web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, and Safari.  You can even access it from mobile devices with the Classroom App (Android & iOS).
